Local Work Group participants provide recommendations to USDA on local and state natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. This input is used to help NRCS deliver programs such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Agricultural producers, private forest land owners, representatives from agricultural and environmental organizations, and conservation agency staff members are encouraged to participate.
This event is hosted by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District, Clemson University Cooperative Extension, and the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service.
